Music as a Path to Wisdom
Music is the language of the soul and sacred sound has the power to transform our lives! Based on collaborations with Zen Buddhist masters, Gnostic Christians, Sufi mystics, and Jewish Kabbalists, Yuval Ron's new book Divine Attunement: Music as a Path to Wisdom provides a fascinating window into the world of ecstatic sound and ritual movement. Through wisdom parables, essays, and rare personal reflections, the secrets of sacred music mystically transform and guide us toward personal growth and joy.
My first guest on blogtalk radio was Yuval Ron, master of the oud and a brilliant Grammy winning world musician who works globally to unite mankind in peace, performing and discussing Ancient Sacred Music and Middle Eastern Spirituality. This was an exciting and enlightening dialogue touching on the three Abrahamic traditions as well as current global spiritual awakening... along with the evolution of the shared human experience. Yuval is both a performer as well as educator in Jewish, Islamic (Sufi), and Christian musical expression that spans 2000 years and the multiple traditions of all three faiths.
